These are some projects I made while attending Sheridan. The first 2 are made completely digitally (in Flash and composited in After effects.) The last one was drawn traditionally, cleaned up in Flash and composited in After Effects. I forgot how long it took, but probably around a few weeks each. (I think--I think..)

Hello Summer!!

My second semester ended yesterday, marking the end of first year at Sheridan! I'm feeling a bit nostalgic already, but I'll soon be back in 4 monthes. In the meantime, I plan to find a summer job, learn to cook, and draw everyday. :D I feel like I've improved since the beginning, which comes in a form of utter embarressment and disgust from looking at my entrance portfolio hahhaha. Hopefully, I'll get that same feeling next year when I look at my current work.

Here's a few animation related pieces from the year, starting with Layout.

(3 scenes from Miyazaki's "Kiki's Delivery Service". I redrew this with reference to the storyboard, and slapped on a graticule and field guide. The BG/animation/OL/UL/FX layers are separated in photoshop)

(An early practise with 2 point perspective. The characters are way too big ohgosh ;;)

This is a digital painting I did for class. The assignment was to pick a set of lyrics/story/poetry and then create an interior scene based on that. I used lyrics from Carrie Underwood's "Temporary home", I wanted to show an abandoned room, left alone for years so vegetation started growing. I should've made it more cluttered and have plants invade the space a bit more but for the time being I'm pretty pleased with it.

 --and this is an older assignment for layout class.We were practising separating layers in photoshop. Looking back I could've done things a lot differently ahahaha
